HEC warns all its recognized universities not to approach the NTS for conducting their entry & student scholarship tests. HEC has also directed all its Degree Awarding Institutions (DAI's) to contact the HEC's owned Education Testing Services ETS for conducting any kind of admission 7 scholarship test.ETS was launched by HEC to provide its recognized universities & institutions any kind of testing services for admissions & student scholarship purposes. HEC is all ready to make ETS functional from spring 2017. The best thing so far known about ETC is that it will totally free of any charges/fees. Students have not to pay any charges. HEC chairperson revealed the reason behind the disassociation from NTS & said that the decision was taken on the basis of Lahore High Court's (LHC) judgment dated 23 January 2014. The court had said NTS was not approved by HEC to act as a testing body under HEC ordinance 2002. The disassociation will take effect from January 31, 2015.
