MoU signed to open KIU campus in Hunza Gilgit.


GILGIT:  Karakoram International University (KIU) to open its campus in Hunza Valley soon. MoU signed between education ministry GB and KIU. Classes will start in Degree College for Girls till the construction of campus building. We are wholeheartedly thankful to PM and President of Pakistan for their keen interest in this regard, Rani Atiqa was quoted as saying. The event was held at the Governor Secretariat where MoU was signed to open KIU's sub campus in Hunza valley Gilgit. KIU's standing registrar Hameed Ahmed Noon , Principal Girls Degree College Hunza Zehra Bano , KIU's director general coordination Shahid Ali & Director ministry of education colleges Mir Ahmed Khan were among those who signed the accord. Governor Gilgit Baltistan Mir Ghazangfar , member legislative assembley Rani Atiqa & other officials were also present on the occasion. Governor termed the campus a gift to the people of Hunza by Government. He assured the education ministry and KIU officials of his full support & to provide all necessary facilities to improve quality education in the province. The KIU Campus will surely to create opportunity for the students of Hunza to get education at their door steps which was more than a blessing for them. In the past, the students of GB had to spend a lot of money to get education and bear other expenses to travel to, and live in other parts of country for the purpose of getting education, but now they are lucky enough to access education from within their own region. The students of the of  GB are enthusiastic to seek knowledge.
