Stephen Hawking was born on 8 January 19942 (300 years after the death of Galiled ) in oxford, England. His parents house was in north London, but during the 2nd world war, oxford was considered a safe place to to have babies.Hawking showed a passion for science and the sky.At age 21 while studying cosmology at the university of Cambridge he was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
Stephen Hawking is an English theoretical physicist and
cosmologist who is widely considered to be one of the greatest scientist alive
today. He is currently directer of researcher at the center for theoretical
cosmology university of Cambridge.
Hawking is known for furthering Einstein theory of general
relativity with quantum theory. Awarded with CBE in 1982, he became a companion
of honor in 1989. He received numerous awards medal and praises. Hawking is
also a member of Royal Society and a member of the US National Academy of
Sciences. He was honored with the Presidential award of Freedom in 2009.
He is now as the professor of Mathematics since 1979
opposition once held by sir Newton as the most famous scientist today he is
considered as a living legend for his amazing contribution to quantum physics.
A highly successful active lecturer and author, Hawking make use of adaptive
communication system known as Equalizer he has authored a book and several
scientific papers and lectures though he capable of speaking at mere rate of 15
words per minute.
Hawking 1988 book "A Brief History of Times"
quickly and instant best seller and was translated into 30 languages. It has
sold over 10 million copies worldwide to date. His 2001 book "The Universe
in a Nutshell" is held masterpiece in history of modern physics.
Stephen Hawking got married to Jane Wilde a language student
1965 and together they have 3 children. The couple got separated 1991 as off
1990s Hawking has been completely paralyzed.
Over the course of his career Hawking studied the basic laws
governing the universe. He proposed that as the universe has beginning - The
Big Bank- It likely will have an ending. He demonstrated the Einstein general
relativity suggest that space and time began at the birth of universe and ends
within in black holes, which implies
that Einstein theory and quantum theory must be united.
Using the two basic theories together HAWKING also
determined that black holes are not totally but instead emit radiation ,He in
2009 revised his theory even writing that ''there are no black holes'' at least
in the way that cosmologist traditionally understand them,His theory removed
the existence of an ''event horizon''the point where nothing can escape.Instead
he proposed that there would
be an'' apparent horizon'' that would
alter according to quantum change with the black hole. But the theory remained
controversial .
Hawking also proposed that the universe itself has no
boundary much like the Earth .Although the planet is finite one can travel
around through it[and through the universe]infinities never encountering a wall
that would be described as the end.
