Minister for education Gilgit Baltistan Ibrahim Sanai has said that the vice chancellor Punjab University has approved to increase GB's quota to 24 seats.This was previously 8 seats only. Vice chancellor took special interest to enhance opportunity for more students from Gilgit Baltistan: he said. He further said that vice chancellor Mujahid Kamran , education minister Punjab Rana Mashhood & Gilgit Baltistan student council also did their best in this regard. He thanked Punjab Government & Rana Mashhood in particular. GB education ministry is trying to double GB's quota in all engineering & medical universities across Pakistan & hopeful to give good news in this regard, he added. It is the oldest and largest public university in Pakistan. Any notification of the decision was not yet issued.
